The Board of Airline Representatives in Switzerland (B.A.R. Switzerland) is the industry association representing the majority of airlines operating to and from a Swiss Airport or with a sales representation in Switzerland.
Founded in 1950 as «Swiss Panel of IATA Carriers», our association changed its name to the actual one in 1968 and eventually became a major body for the airline industry in Switzerland.
Our mission
We present a vital international perspective of the industry at a national level and are highly involved in any issues that collectively affect our members, including policy, regulation, airport capacity, environment, taxation and charges.
Close cooperation with International Air Transport Association (IATA), government departments, regulators, airport operators and other trade partners is central to us.
We have also become a valuable contact for airline jobs which are shown on our jobs page.
B.A.R. Switzerland adheres strictly to anti-trust legislation and does not involve itself in any debate or communication on commercial matters or policies concerning pricing, agency remunerations or competition between members.
We care and do networking to the benefit of our members.
